How We Rate Casinos
Every rating on this site is built from the operator’s UK Gambling Commission licence, its published bonus and payout terms, and aggregated public player feedback — not from operator marketing. We score five categories, each weighted, and combine them into the headline rating.
The five-point rubric
- Trust & licensing (30%) — we verify the licence number on the regulator’s public register and confirm the operator named there matches the brand.
- Payments & payouts (25%) — we record the published payout times for debit card, PayPal and Faster Payments and cross-check them against aggregated player reports.
- Bonus fairness (20%) — we read the welcome offer’s wagering, max-bet caps, game weighting and time limits from the operator’s published terms.
- Games & software (15%) — provider mix, library depth, live-dealer availability and lobby usability.
- Support (10%) — published support channels, complaints procedure and the safer-gambling tools required by the licence.
Re-checking
We re-check each featured casino’s licence status and published terms regularly, and immediately when a reader reports a problem. Reader corrections move a brand straight to the top of the queue.
About our ratings
Our scores are an editorial assessment based on public, verifiable information — the UKGC public register, the operator’s published terms, and aggregated player feedback. They are research-based and are not derived from a personal real-money deposit at every brand.
